freezer

...is turning 10!

That's right, folks. I've officially been hosting the Freezer (on and off) for 10 years, and I figured there's no better way to celebrate than by throwing a party over at Newtown Radio. Join me on Friday, June 21 to say happy birthday to your favorite radio program. Please RSVP below.

Admittedly, The Freezer was originally named after a Phish song. And while my fascination with the jamband has waned over the years, I still hold them dear to my heart. I've been told you can't throw a party without a theme, so I invite everyone to party with me like it's 2014 again. Whether you were dying your hair and begging your parents for Warped Tour tickets or cuffing your pants for the first time while having your mind blown by Mac Demarco's Salad Days, I urge you all travel back in time and re-embody your former selves. Ladies, I know those One Direction t-shirts are still buried somewhere deep in your closet...

Volunteer radio has been one of the few constants in my life over the past decade. "The Freezer" moniker has followed me across 5 different stations in 3 different cities, and I hope it continues to do so throughout the next 10 years. In a time where even television feels like a dying art form, it's nice to know there is still a community of people dedicated to perpetuating the life of the radio, one of the most important inventions of all time.

I've had a lot of fun over the past week learning how to build a website from scratch. It's yet another way that this radio passion of mine has led me to explore new avenues of creativity. I hope you all have fun clicking through it! Be sure to check it out on desktop. Maybe I'll continue to update it in the future...
